Translation variants
Translation isn’t always one answer. Transept lets you hold several and choose between them — at the block level and within a sentence.
Block versions vs. sentence alternatives
Each block can hold several versions — useful for comparing a literal pass with a freer one, or handing a client two options. One version is active, and that’s what shows in exports.
Within a block, each sentence has a current text plus an alternatives list. Swap any alternative into place inline. An alternative may sometimes cover the previous or next sentence too, when merging reads better — the variant card shows a “Merges with previous / next” badge so the scope is clear before you apply it.
