Plans, credits & the free tier
Transept is credit-based. You spend credits when a block is translated; everything else is free. Here’s how the plans and credits fit together.
The three plans
Free — €0/mo, 1,500 credits (about five pages), no card. Full editor, Standard mode, and 10 lifetime messages with Literess. You can create a solo team but not invite others.
Starter — €19/mo, 100,000 credits. Unlocks Premium mode, team invites, batch translation, and unlimited Literess.
Pro — €49/mo, 300,000 credits, plus priority support. For higher volume and agencies.
What a credit is
A credit is a unit of translation budget tied to source words. Standard mode costs 1 credit per source word; Premium costs 3. Credits are spent only on AI translation actions — translate, regenerate, improve. Manual editing, comments, and exports never cost anything.
Plan credits reset every billing cycle. If you need more, top-up packs never expire: Small (50,000 / €5), Medium (200,000 / €18), Large (500,000 / €40). Run out mid-job and existing translations stay put — new jobs pause until you top up, then pick up where you left off.
