Every language, one run

From the Transept team
One document, a version per language — and now one run to drive them all.

Last week you could run Translate, Proofread, or a workflow on All languages. It worked, but it behaved like what it was underneath: a handful of unrelated jobs, each with its own progress card and its own pile of notifications. A six-language run could bury you in twenty-odd toasts for what was, to you, a single action.

This week it became one run. One card, one lane per language, one notification as each finishes, and one summary at the end.

Added

  • A group progress card. An all-languages run now shows a single card with one lane per language — queued, running, done, or failed — with live progress on each. Click a lane to jump to that language’s document. Stopping from the card stops every language at once. See running a workflow in every language.
  • A Reviews ready list. When a run stages findings for approval, it no longer opens the review on its own. Reviews collect in a Reviews ready list in the editor — one row per language — and wait until you open them. Leave a review midway and your progress is saved; the row stays until you finish or dismiss it. A Paused badge means later steps are waiting on your approval, and a parked review never holds your words. See reviews wait for you.
  • Proactive check-ins from Literess. Literess can now start a conversation when something looks worth a word — a run that errored repeatedly, an unused feature that fits what you’re doing. Check-ins appear as a small bubble on the closed panel, respect caps and cooldowns, and can be turned off entirely in Settings.

Changed

  • Queued work says it’s queued. Runs waiting for a free slot now render as a distinct Queued — waiting for a free slot card everywhere active runs appear — the dashboard, the workflows sidebar, and the document list — instead of looking like they were already running.
  • No more notification pile-up. An all-languages run sends one starting notification and one per language as it finishes, not one per language up front and a dozen at the end.
  • Translate and Proofread all versions use the same pipeline. The header’s “all versions” actions now get the same lanes, notifications, and review gates as workflow runs. Review-only runs also stop creating empty jobs on languages that have no translation yet.
  • A multi-language document counts as one. Moving a document to a project, assigning a client, or transferring ownership now applies to every language version at once, and document counts across projects, clients, and teams count the document once rather than once per language.

Fixed

  • Runs no longer stall in the queue. A cleanup job could mistake a queued run for an abandoned one and cancel it; it now checks the queue before reaping. Translation also switches provider automatically when a daily model quota runs out, instead of slowing to a crawl.
  • Links inside help, legal, and Journal pages stay in your language rather than dropping you back into the English site.
  • Terminology across the marketing site matches the app in every language.
  • The cookie banner’s privacy link and a few dead legal links on the sign-in page now point where they should in every language.
