Account & billing
Team seats and updated pricing
The headline this week is billing: teams moved to a seat-based model with a shared pool of words, and we adjusted plan and top-up prices. Your word allowances didn’t change — Free is still 1,500 words a month, Starter is 100,000, Pro is 300,000, and the per-word Standard and Premium rates are exactly as before.
Alongside that, a good batch of editor work landed — a simpler Proofread, a proper PDF export, more visible translation memory, and a handful of fixes.
Added
- Team seats. Creating a team is still free, and your own membership is seat #1, covered by your subscription. Each additional member takes a seat on your subscription — billed on the same invoice, prorated when you add or remove one mid-cycle.
- A shared word pool. Every extra seat adds your plan’s monthly words to a pool the whole team draws from — work on team-owned documents bills the pool, while personal documents keep billing your own words.
- Smart Proofread. Proofread and Improve are now one pipeline: a single prescan finds the issues, and an optional instruction lets the flagged blocks be rewritten improve-style — leave it blank for an error-only fix.
- Direct PDF export. Download a document’s finished translation as a PDF, generated on the server just like DOCX — no more routing through Review mode and the browser print dialog.
- See which memories shaped a translation. Every translated block now records what translation memory gave the model for that version — the remembered wordings with their match %, the source document, and any previously-rejected alternatives — surfaced on a Memory chip in the block and a section in the sidebar.
Changed
- Updated prices. Starter is now €29/mo (was €19) and Pro is €79/mo (was €49); both keep their 100,000 and 300,000 monthly words. Top-up packs, which never expire, are now Small 50,000 / €19, Medium 200,000 / €69, and Large 500,000 / €149.
- Clearer checkout. The Stripe checkout now shows the cancellation and refund policy up front, so you can see the terms before you pay.
- A calmer template picker and workflow strip. The editor’s suggested-workflows strip is now a compact grid instead of tall scrolling cards, and the “What are you translating?” picker leads with a drop-a-file zone.
- Easier to start on mobile. After an upload, the empty translation slot is now a real tap target with the same Translate button as the toolbar, and the mobile header action is clearly labelled.
- Reassuring pacing on long runs. Long translate, proofread, and workflow runs now show a calm “this pace is normal” hint between steps, instead of a still bar that looks frozen.
Fixed
- Pasting formatted (HTML) content — e.g. an email — now keeps its structure, splitting into one block per element instead of collapsing into a single block that could truncate on translation.
- The long-job completion email now reliably sends when a big run finishes; it was previously suppressed whenever you had the app open in a browser tab.
